Here is a piece from a bush in the Schenectady Rose Garden that Dave Gade brought over to show us. Very unusual growth pattern (many shoots out of one place) and lots of thorns on new growth (it is COVERED). Cut back the piece as far as you can and spray with a miticide, but if it is all over the bush, the best thing that you can do is dig it up and throw it out.
